Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: take the Red Line North to Sheridan. Exit the station and hoff it North to the corner of Sheridan and Irving Park. From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the 72 North Ave bus and ride that sucker East to North/Clybourn. Transfer to the Red Line downstairs and ride that sucker North to Sheridan. Exit the station and hoff it North to the corner of Sheridan and Irving Park.

From da GM: This is it, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Kegs will be tapped promptly at 12 noon with chalk talk set to take place at 1PM. The ladies have assured me that they’ve planned an immaculately shitty trial with multiple beer stops, a dazzling array of games, & delicious food to stuff your faces with! Be sure to bring some shiggy socks and a dry bag with you – this trail is going to be nasty!

Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Hop on the Red Line and ride that puppy North to Berwyn. Go downstairs and jump onto the 92 Foster bus. Get good and comfortable. Exit the bus at 4635 W. Foster, cross the street, and walk through the trees into LaBagh Woods. Grove #2 is the Southernmost grove. From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the Blue Line and ride that puppy out to Jefferson Park. Transfer over to the 92 Foster bus and ride that puppy East to 4635 W. Foster. Cross the street and walk through the trees into LaBagh Woods. Grove #2 is the Southernmost grove.

Driving Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Foster and Keating. Cross the street and walk through the trees into LaBagh Woods. Grove #2 is the Southernmost grove.

We had to move the start time up because we’ve only got the park until sunset, but once the sun goes down, the party will continue at O’Donnell’s (4500 N Elston Ave), just a short walk from the park and another one of our favorite bars here in Chicago.

Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Hop on the Brown Line and ride that puppy to Montrose. Transfer onto the 78 Montrose bus heading West. Exit the bus at Elston and hoof it a block North to the bar. From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the Blue Line and ride that puppy out to Montrose. Tranfer onto the 78 Montrose bus and tide that puppy East to Keeler. Hoof it North on Keeler to Elston.

Driving Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Elston and Keeler. There’s probably parking out here, but let’s be honest, you’ll be too drunk to get home anyway.

From da GM: Start your Power of the Pussy Weekend off in style with a visit to one of our favorite Chicago bars, the Hidden Shamrock. The festivities will open at 7PM with beer and pizza and good company, but that’s only the half of it, as we’ll be leaving for trail at the ridiculous hour of 10PM. There will be both a walker and a runners trail provided, but don’t drink too much beforehand because everyone who stays back at the bar will miss out on multiple beer stops, an outdoor circle, and you’ll have to buy your own booze at the Hidden Shamrock while we’re gone. If you’re running late and need to catch up, don’t worry, updates on the pack’s location will be placed on our CH3 twitter feed (@chicagoh3).

Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Hoof it down to Diversey and Halsted. From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the 72 North Ave bus and head East. At North and Clybourn hop off the bus, but don’t go downstairs into the train station. Instead, transfer over to the 8 Halsted bus traveling North and ride that puppy to Diversey.

Driving Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Diversey and Halsted, since this trail is on a Friday night there isn’t going to be any parking. Not that you should drive to this hash anyway, since we’ll be starting so late.

12th Annual Power of the Pussy CH3 #1800

August 24th-26th, 2012

Bust out your clown shoes and be ready to show off your sword-swallowing skills, as the Chicago Hash House Harriers celebrate 12 years of Power of the Pussy and our 1800th run. Fire-breathers, contortionists, and jugglers are all welcome as our theme this year will be everyone’s favorite traveling band of misfits, the circus! Regoing for the whole weekend will get you three awesome Chicago Hash House Harriers runs (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), as well another awesome hash shirt (no words on the design yet, but I’m sure it will be awesome. Rego before August 9th to ensure that you’ll get a shirt and be prepared to drink until you see Pink Elephants on Parade.

  Coming in from out of town? Not to worry. There are plenty of options for getting to and from Chicago. You can always fly in O’Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW), take the Amtrack in to Union Station, take the Mega Bus, or you could even carpool up with your closest hash friends. Need crash space? Don’t worry about that either – shoot Two Girls, One Cupcake an email by 5pm on Tuesday, August 21st and she’ll coordinate with the rest of the Chicago H3 group to set you up with the perfect crash space partner (after that you’re on your own). Let her know how many people are coming, what nights you need crash space, and if you have any specific requests. If you’d rather find your own crash space you’re also welcome to post a message either in the comments, in our Yahoo! Group, on our Facebook page, via e-mail, or over our twitter, and we’ll do our best to set you up with a welcoming hasher. If you don’t want to stay with hasher, that’s cool too – the Chicago H3 suggests finding a room at the Days Inn Lincoln Park or at the Chicago Getaway Hostel, but be advised that no group rate has been procured from these institutions.
