Here are the details for this year's Hash Ball:

Who: CH3, et al

What: Come out and enjoy food and drink with your fellow hashers as we welcome a new GM. Dress as your favorite TV star or dress to impress. We've got a $35 package that includes ALL draft beer, well liquor, wine, soda AND some select bottomless apps.

When: February 26, 7-1o p.m.

Where: Kirkwood Bar & Grill (2934 N. Sheffield - corner of Sheffield & Oakdale)

Why: Just any old excuse to get together without having to worry about some pesky trail.

How to pay: Either in person (at a hash or at the door) or by paypal. Add $2 for paypal fees.

How (to get there)

CTA - Brown Line to Wellington, walk west to Sheffield then down a block or so or Red Line to Belmont and walk West to Sheffield and three blocks South to Oakdale. The bar is on the west side of the street at the corner of Sheffield & Oakdale. You can also take the Diversey 76 bus East to Sheffield and walk three blocks North to Oakdale.

Driving - I don't recommend it because a) you'll be drinking and b) it's Lincoln Park on Saturday night.

The meeting will be at Lion Head Pub (2251 N. Lincoln) at 7pm on July 21.

Here are a few things I have in mind for the agenda so far:

  • I still have Anthrax shirts for some reason. If you or someone you know HAS NOT picked theirs up, I'll be selling it.
  • We bought extra PoP mugs in honor of the 10th anniversary. The left over ones will be sold for $5 each.
  • CH3 and TH3 teamed up to create a new moisture wicking shirt. These are currently on sale for $18.
• Open dates for upcoming hashes.
• We need a back up RA.

This is all I have so far as no one has brought any other issues to my attention.  If you have anything you'd like me to consider discussing shoot me an email and we'll figure something out.

Note our usual drinking practice specials - free food buffet 4-7pm, $2 domestic bottles and $2.75 beer of the month will be available also.

Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit
From the Lincoln Park/Lakeview "Green Zone": Red Line to Addison. If you can find the illusive 152, take that west to Damen. The bar is a couple blocks south of Addison. OR you can take the Brown line to Addison. The bar is a few blocks west and south of that.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Take the Damen Bus north to School and walk a block and a half to the bar.

Driving

Hop into your hooptie and cruise to Damen and Henderson. Parking is kinda difficult in this neighborhood, but you  might get luck and find a spot.

NOTE THE EARLY START TIME! We'll start early due to the restaurant's closing time.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to Belmont, Head west toward Milwaukee. The bar is just south of Belmont.

Driving

Hop into your hooptie and cruise to Belmont and Milwaukee. Parking is plentiful. You might even get lucky and escape Da Mare's revenue stream and park on a side street.

$8 will get you a keg of beer, a shitty ass trail and more food than you can shake a stick at! There will also be the 2010 re-appearance of a classic CH3 relic, special event giveaways, and some bonus food items courtesy of Crazy Rita Catering! Call in sick on Monday!

And as you may have heard, our good friend Odor Eater will soon be leaving us for the tropical paradise of Kansas City. If you've ever been to one of our big hash events in Chicago (Anthrax, PoP, etc.), then you know Odor Eater as the friendly DJ cranking out that great dance music.

Odor Eater will be at the Chicago Hash run on 4/25, so please come out to bid him farewell, kiss his ass goodbye, or just to praise/deride him for being the huge Cubs fan that he is.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Personally, I'll be taking the Diversey Bus over, but you can take your east/west bus of choice to the Brown Line, then Brown Line to Diversey. Listen for the drunks. Follow that sound.

Hop into your hooptie and cruise Diversey and Sheffield. I think the meters are 3 hour parking but I could be wrong. Good luck finding parking though as it is Lincoln Park and Cubs season has started. Address is 933 W. Wolfram

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to Western. The bar is right off the auxiliary entrance/exit if you're coming in on a north bound Blue Line. Or you can just walk from home to Western & Homer. The hash is not responsible for any WUI tickets on the way home tho.
